Albany Sinfonia is the flagship 40-piece community orchestra based in Albany, Western Australia.
Albany Sinfonia was formed in 1995 by legendary musician Will Upson and then Chairman of the Albany Arts Council Kym Murphy. Will’s extensive career in the music industry as jazz pianist, arranger, conductor and music director provided a strong foundation to build a thriving community orchestra. We are dedicated to sharing our love of music with the community through inspiring, entertaining concerts.
We regularly present high-quality performances ranging from family concerts to classical orchestral and chamber music concerts. Our repertoire includes symphonic standards, opera, movie soundtracks and contemporary music.
